The most primitive plants in the world must be protected to ensure the survival of these life forms into the future. "Dicksonia antartica” has survived for millions of years withstanding much greater climate fluctuations than those currently anticipated. A self-supportive community with other ferns and mosses develops under their magnificent fronds relying on aerial moisture levels and minimum amounts of soil. They grow under trees and tolerate low light levels; we use water reflections and glass-reflected light to increase the dramatic effect. Warmer conditions will encourage them to flourish providing an example of the adaptability of plants.
