A nation that destroys its soil destroys itself' Franklin D. Roosevelt. As the world's population is predicted to increase to 10 billion by 2050 food becomes increasingly valuable. Oil supplies are predicted to critically diminish within 10 years and agriculture will become more difficult and expensive.
Healthy soil systems must play a crucial role in our future. Today the words 'dirt', 'filth' and 'mud' describe negative, worthless commodities: however soil is vital for growing enough food to allow fair distribution to a healthy population.
