“Home” consists of two breast- like domed structures, representing the malaise of – and route out of – the global and ethical problems we face.
The first is a closed form created from 2000 Dollars worth of recycled shredded bank notes, recycled porcelain clay, and hemp cob. It symbolises the individualised, disconnected, singular existence so characteristic of our money economy and stressed societies.
The second form is open, fashioned from recycled black paint, earth, recycled terracotta clay, sand and sawdust. It symbolises sharing ownership of the problems we encounter, adopting a more open and connected relationship with each other, living in community.
